An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior QC analyst to join our successful and expanding company.

Syntor Fine Chemicals develop and manufacture a wide range of Fine Chemicals and Speciality Chemicals into international markets.

Based from our facilities in Runcorn, we are seeking an experienced and adaptable individual to join our organisation. This interesting and demanding role has scope for further personal development and progression to QC Manager. The role will be provide the successful candiate witha range ofopportunities to show their capabilities and develop within the company

A good level of previous experience, a hands-on attitude, as well as a professional and organised approach, are very important in this role.

Responsibilities and key tasks:

Promoting and implementing Quality Control product improvement throughout the organisation

Provide leadership of the Quality Control group

Set QC objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved

Assessing company product specifications and customer requirements

Implement improvements and conduct method development/validation for new and existing products

Setting up and maintaining Quality Control systems and documentation

Maintaining and development of product stability testing programme.

Co-ordinate and carry out a range of routine analytical testing of products

Ensuring compliance with relevant Quality standards and legislation eg. ISO 9001.

Ensure the application and improvement of environmental and health/safety standards

Assist in the implementation and development of quality procedures in conjunction with management and employees

Ensuring that all Quality Control related policies and procedures are available, understood, carried out and evaluated

Supervising appointed QC personnel in carrying out their work duties effectively and efficiently.

Investigate QC problems, and complete corrective actions to ensure consistent compliance with customers' specifications

Interpret routine analysis results prior to approval

Conduct department and COSHH assessment /reviews on an on-going basis.

There will be opportunities to work with colleagues and partners abroad to implement and improve systems across all manufacturing sites.

Qualifications/Skills:

Educated to graduate level (or HND/HNC as a minimum) in Scientific related subject Experience of operating, calibrating and maintaining a range of analytical equipment, eg. HPLC, GC, GC-MS, FT-IR is essential.Experience of analysis method development/validationMinimum of 3 years laboratory analytical experience. Ability to work independently and also form effective working groups for specific project based assignments Experience of carrying out and receiving audits from customers and regulatory bodies.Ability to multi task and work under own initiative.Good IT skills including a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.Flexible.Good team player.Excellent attention to detail.
