Working in such a fast-moving environment, our support services need to be as dynamic as the betting markets themselves.

We are currently looking for a Functional Test Manager to join our Test Team in Leeds. The successful applicant will be required to manage and coach the Functional Test Teams to ensure that all projects/releases are tested to de-risk new implementations and ensure ongoing stability of production systems. The Functional Test Manager is also responsible for providing efficient, cost effective, quality testing services in line with the Quality Management Framework.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Ensure that teams / individuals all have clear understanding of roles and responsibilities as well as an understanding of the wider business priorities

Work with the William Hill QA Team to resolve quality related issues

Work with the Environments Management Team, System Integrators and suppliers to ensure software solutions meet specified quality criteria

Manage and co-ordinate the relationship with 3rd party testing services to ensure testing phases run to schedule

Ensure the correct test tools are chosen and maintained to support the overall test strategy

Ensure escalation routes for issues and risks are documented, communicated and understood

Essential criteria:

Strong experience in a test management role

A strong record of achievement promoting and developing people in an operational environment

Strong diplomacy, persuasion, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Experience in coaching and mentoring Business Managers and Project Managers in testing processes

Experience in managing and supporting Internal and 3rd party software providers in the planning and execution of unit and component testing

Adaptable / flexible approach to changing environment
