Human Resources Administrator
This is a full-time permanent role within the higher education field and will commence mid-May 2012.
The position will encompass all aspects of Human Resources administration within the Resources Group, reporting directly to the HR Manager with regard to the majority of responsibilities.
Key role responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the maintenance of personnel records, including staff contact details, starter/leaver documentation and correspondence relevant to changes in employment conditions Ensuring these records are stored a nd organised in a user friendly manner, enabling easy access at all times Organisation of staff inductions Archiving and retrieval of records as required Participating in all stages of the recruitment process, including arranging interviews, maintenance of the vacancies section of the intranet, liaising with agencies and sourcing temporary staff as required and ensuring good HR practices are maintained at all times Coordination of staff training and liaising with training providers and staff on training requirements, organising the logistical side of training days, including booking meeting rooms, equipment and catering and producing reports and training statistics Responding to electronic enquiries, forwarding where appropriate Providing additional administrative assistance and support to the HR Manager, including arranging meetings and appointments, planning events, booking travel and diary managementTo be successful in this role applicants will require:
Experience i n a busy HR administration role, dealing with a range of staffing issues and recruiting for a variety of roles Excellent IT skills, including a fast and accurate typing speed High level organisational skills and experience in diary management and the provision of 1:1 support Strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional manner both over the telephone and face to face The ability to build relationships with relevant stakeholdersA relevant degree, knowledge of the higher education sector and the desire to develop within the HR field, for example towards a CIPD qualification, would be advantageous.
