Job Description

This is a role that would suit an experienced buyer looking to take their career in a new and refreshing direction.

We currently have a vacancy for a talented Senior Buyer within our newly launched Products platform. The position represe nts a shift away from the traditional responsibilities of a Buyer towards an exciting new breed of specialist e-commerce Product Manager a role that will require all of the skills and contacts that a successful career within cross-vertical buying should have developed.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to our National Accounts Director, the Senior Buyer will be expected to:

Utilise their extensive network of contacts within national and international manufacturers and distributors to source a variety of exciting and innovative products across a range of verticals to feature on the LivingSocial Products platform.Actively sell the benefits of the LivingSocial Product platform as the premier retail channel for any business looking to promote their product to a high volume of active purchasers in the shortest time possible.Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual volume and revenue targets.Work collaboratively wit h all departments within the business to ensure new Product developments are communicated in a timely and efficient manner.

Required Skills/Experience

Our Senior Buyer will possess:

Extensive experience in a Buying capacity for a major retailer (online retail experience preferred). An enviable list of contacts looking to promote a variety of products across a diverse range of verticals (beauty, electronics, homeware, fashion etc).First-rate communication and presentation skills, with the gravitas to sell at all decision-making levels.Excellent working knowledge of social media, including Facebook and Twitter.An excellent work ethic and desire to succeed.
