My client is outstanding global Software co.Its products & solutions transform the way companies use & interact with data. The company has experienced a truly meteoric rise to become one of the worlds most profitable software companies.

Recruitment is high on the agenda and a key hire is to bring on board a Senior Technical Consultant to join their Professional Services team.

Role will be based at their offices in central London or Cambridge.

The Role

The Senior Technical Cons ultant will work directly with clients at both a technical & non-technical level, leading the implementation of their software products & creating innovative new solutions to help them meet their requirements; he or she will be expected to acquire, articulate & practise a deep understanding of their technology, its installation, configuration and architecture.

The role will include the following:

Installation & configuration of company productsCapture of technical & business requirementsDevelopment of custom interfacesManagement of the customer relationship

Technical Skills:

Proven record in web application implementation.Extensive exp. of one or more of the following OS platforms: Solaris, Linux or NTPractical exp of Web Servers such as IIS, Apache, Netscape & database technology such as MS SQL & Oracle is highly desirable.A demonstrable knowledge of at least two of the following Scripting/Programming paradigms: C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, ASP, HTML, DHTML , XML, PHP3, COM Objects & CGI.

Essential Skills

Self motivated & capable of delivering a proactive, credible & responsive service to clients.Previous exp in a similar role.Strong interpersonal skills + exceptional organisational skills, demonstrable experience of delivering to deadlinesProficiency with one or more back-end programming language such as PHP and ASP. A team player, passionate about technology and able to solve complex problemsMust be prepared to travel (as required) throughout UK & possibly Europe.First or 2:1 degree in a technical related discipline i.e. Maths, Physics, Computing, Engineering from a prominent university
