Steam Generator Service Engineer East London

Norris Steam Services (London) Ltd are looking for a service engineer to carry out fault finding and repairs on commercial electric steam generators, electric steam irons and vacuum pressing tables.

The service engineer will join a leading supplier of industrial steam pressing equipment used within the laundry, dry cleaning and clothing manufacturing industries.

Applicants should live within commuting distance of our office at London, E1.

Service Engineer Responsibilities include;

1. Fault Finding, Servicing and Repairs for electric steam generators, electric steam irons and vacuum pressing tables both on site and at our works.

2. Installation of new machinery on site.

3. Introducing clients to new machinery including demonstrations.

4. Liaison with customers, including trouble-shooting by telephone and in the field.

5. Applying best practice in all aspects of Health and Safety for Company personnel, including preparation of risk assessments and method statements

The appropriate candidate must have the following key skills;

1 A qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering

2. Clean driving licence.

3. A reasonable knowledge of the London area.

4. Good communication skills

5. Be able to work on their own initiative.

6. Neat & tidy worker

7. Physically fit

8. Appear clean and presentable when possible.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 until 16:30.

Experience with steam generator systems used in clothing manufacturing and laundry industries is helpful but NOT essential as training will be provided. Applicants must have some knowledge of commercial steam generators.

A company vehicle will be provided once the employee has completed all the relevant training with working expenses covered.
