VMWare Technical Architect for a major UK managed services provider, Docklands
50k-55k base plus bonus and benefits
Purpose Develop, maintain and support the Hosting products vmware farms in order to process internal and external virtualisation customer requirements.
Key Result Areas* Subject Matter Expert (SME) in relation to the VMWare Platform and technology. * Assist with new product design, development and deployment where the target deployment platform is a virtualised environment. * Manages Implementation of required additions, changes or adjustments onto the systems thus allowing requirements to be processed in order to meet customer needs. * Maintain and create performance reference data on key parameters of the virtualisation systems to ensure new products can be delivered to customers. * Liaise with Vmware and other suppliers to ensure that systems continue to operate within the bounds of best practice. * Ensure that the virtual infrastructure systems are maintained in a secure
Knowledge/Skills and Experience * Related degree or equivalent Vmware Qualification * Relevant significant experience of managing a large virtual infrastructure system. * Good standard of education in Maths & English. * Strong Skills * Fault Finding Logic & rational perception * Verbal Communication/Written Communication * Defining and specifying requirements * Flexibility and adaptability with regard to working hours and processes
