Brightside Group is looking to appoint a Communication Manager for their Marketing Team. The Communication Manager will be tasked to increase the number and quality of leads, quotes and sales and to manage online reputation and decrease customer complaints. The Communication Manager will implement the Companys Social Media and Communication Strategy, using creative copy to develop brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encourage product adoption. This role coordinates with the Brand Managers and Onlin e Commerce Managers to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating email, SMS and Social Media Referral networks.

The Communications Manager will implement the Companys Social Media and Communication Strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption, coordinate with stakeholders across the company to ensure effectiveness of communications both online and in print, encouraging adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the companys products and services.

The role will include:

Copywriting for website and print media

Work with the IT development team to ensure email and social media tools (eg FB connect, Sharing buttons) are kept up to date

Manage email, SMS and social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing, promotions, etc.

Manage presence in social networking site s including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed

Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate

Manage a Blogger outreach program and build an active brand ambassador network to spread the word about the Company.

Knowledge of blogging ecosystem relevant to the Companys field

Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships

Ability to educate business areas to support Social Media adoption.

Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments/teams when necessary.

Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly

Have a basic understanding of principles of SEO

Public relations, Marketing, Sales, Community Management experience, a pl us

Our ideal candidate should:

have an instinctive feeling about the way forward with online media and social networks and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios, along with a high level of knowledge and understanding of email marketing.

have excellent creative writing skills

be a good listener, able to respond to results and consumer research

be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing

be enthusiastic about communications and PR with strong organisational skills

have an interested in what competitors are doing

enjoy working in a busy, deadline-driven, creative environment

enjoy working in communications/PR.

Location
With a great North Bristol location in our spacious call centre overlooking the Severn Bridge which avoids the traffic black spots. Only 25 minutes from the city centre and 10 minutes from Aztec West, with plenty of free parking. Due to our location you will need your own transport to commute to our office.
