Job Purpose:

A role has arisen for a Product Owner to work on a new programme delivering an innovative e-Commerce product:

Drive successful development of an e-Comm payment product that meets the needs of member banks, PSP, Merchants, Consumers & Visa EuropeResponsible for the Consumer UI and payment system/service functionality for checkout and self-service portalWork within an agile development team to deliver the business objectives of the project.Work in a complex multi system environment.Take ownership of product featur e definition and plan team activity to deliver the program outcomes.Champion the product offering working with Sales Channel & key Customers as appropriate.Secure internal & external buy-in for product proposition & design. Provide best practice support for SEO, Accessibility etc

Core Tasks:

Own & define product features to deliver compelling proposition to stakeholders.Provide direction to UI designers during development of concepts, wireframes, high def designs and design guidelinesStakeholder validation of product features & design. Task management of BAs Write user stories and define success criteria for development sprints in conjunction with development partners, product proposition team and SMEs Development sprint planning and backlog prioritisation.Engage with developers to define detail product solution design.Make decision within own authority & prepare decisions for submission to programme governance structure. Define success criteria and work with acceptance testing & QA to validate success.Contribute to end of sprint retrospectives and run Show & Tell session for stakeholders. Competitor review and benchmarking.Produce high quality documentation to support the development sprint outcomes.Report on progress, risk and issues to the program.Contribute to daily stand-up & product owners meetings.Work with other product owners to ensure compatibility of sprint plans and solution design. Develop rules and policies that that govern the productProvide support to other areas of the program such as op regs, member letters & legal.Provide cross functional support to other development teams and the program.

Essential Skills:

Strong background being responsible for the functional requirements and consumer journeys of consumer facing websitesPrevious experience of delivering low abandonment, high conversion online checkouts with large online merchants or PSPsStrong knowledge of websites that manage complex user scenarios such as regis tration and authentication elementsStrong design life cycle experience business requirements gathering, wireframes, storyboarding, usability, exception managementExperience of interacting with and supporting development teams in the building out of designed UIsPrevious experience with large online merchant checkout UI & processes or e-commerce platform/PSP checkout & UI.Or previous experience with transaction based online consumer self service portals e.g. credit card or online banking.Clear, concise and structured approach to analysis and problem solving.Strong stakeholder management skills and able to lead review sessionsExperience of working closely with functional owners to design & document product features. Experience of large scale application developmentHigh quality documentation skills.Ability to think of creative alternatives to existing or proposed solutions.Must be pro-active and flexible and able to work in new or undefined areas.Experienced in working in time-p ressured environments with excellent delivery recordThorough with an attention to detail to drive identification and resolution of issuesDelivery focussed with an ability to balance conflicting needs
