Lending your support to customers
When customers and independent financial advisors call us about mortgage applications, we always aim to provide a seamless and professional service. As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll need to understand our systems thoroughly to help process transactions and make sure that any issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

What you'll give our customers as a Customer Service Advisor
You'll be focused on your customers, ensuring that you deal with their queries in line with our set procedures - working closely with colleagues to provide a seamless level of service. Where appropriate, you'll escalate issues to senior colleagues and you'll also look out for opportunities to make improvements to our operational processes.

What you'll need as a Customer Service Advisor
The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do that in this role, you'll need experience of a high-volume call centre or customer service environment. We'll also be looking for a good level of competence in English and Maths, computer literacy in MS Word and Excel, along with knowledge of the financial services market and - more specifically - the world of mortgages. You'll be a well-organised problem-solver who is methodical when it comes to meeting targets and deadlines.
