Deputy Head (Academic) needed in North London

Remedy are looking for a Deputy Head teacher who is available to interview ASAP. You will need to have all the relevant experience and knowledge to be given the opportunity of an interview. This role will include:

? Building and developing the role of heads of department as effective managers

? To take responsibility for reporting to SMT, Staff, Council and ISI on

achievement within the school

? To write academic refere nces and to organise and support Heads of Year in

writing other references

? To write Heads reports for students

? To liaise with the CPD co-ordinator regarding staff development and welfare

? To work with the Deputy Head (Pastoral) and the CPD Co-ordinator to ensure

the appropriate induction of new staff

? To control the Calendar/Diary of Events

? To ensure the annual drafting of departmental reviews and a system of

accountability thereafter

? To lead the programme of individual staff reviews

? To do whatever other duties are deemed necessary by the Head.

? To oversee all parents evenings 7-13, in conjunction with the Head of the

School.
