An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen within a growing Insurance Broker based in the city.
The main purpose of the role is to assist with the management and control of the local and international financial, statutory and regulatory accounting and reporting functions.

General Duties and Tasks:
*Manage the general ledgers in accordance with group and legal requirements including ensuring reconciliation up to the Trial Balance.
*To develop and maintain appropriate controls over the General Ledger including but not limited to:
-Inter-company reconciliations
-Inter-branch reconciliations
-General ledger re conciliations and interfaces
-Bank reconciliations
*Analyse financial results and provide ad-hoc financial information and commentary.
*Develop and implement appropriate risk management processes, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with internal procedures and controls.
*Develop and improve the effectiveness of financial accounting systems and process in accordance with group requirements and best practice.
*Develop and monitor key performance indicators.
*Assist in the audits of the company, ensuring auditors are provided with sufficient information as requested, answering questions as they arise and assisting with any management letter points.
