Agrega manages the procurement of 'cross-industry' indirect goods and services where scale and knowledge opportunities exist. We are looking for a talented individual to fulfil the role of Global Category Lead, HR.

Principal Accountabilities

Business

To design category strategies and sourcing plans and to deliver those strategies though the Sourcing Managers. The category strategy balances the business needs, company risk and supply market capability to determine the optimum route to deliver maximum value from the category.To ensure category strategies are aligned to the global procurement strategy, plan and targets.To continuously assess the global and regional market environment, supply base and identify major industry trends and threats. To use this knowledge to define the optimum category strategy for Agrega.

Leadership

To maintain a professional and well motivated sourcing team, ensuring appropriate training and development to en sure our people have the skills and knowledge to deliver our business goals.To set personal development plans and targets for the Sourcing Managers and review performance against those targets.To lead the development of the category strategies and sourcing plans and the implementation of those strategies through the Sourcing Managers.To act as a subject matter expert for their category area (s) and to maintain and develop this knowledge.Support and drive initiatives for the defined key suppliers of the category

Management

To deliver category strategies and sourcing plans in a consistent way.To build global consensus and deliver buy in at regional and global level for the category strategies. To steer consistent implementation across geographies, acting as a central point of contact for solving strategy issues across geographies.To track, review and report on the category performance, plan implementation and KRAs (Key Result Areas) and to use this information to determine opportunities for further improvement to category strategy definition and target setting.This role is responsible for supply market management and value engineering defined through the category strategies and sourcing plans. To manage long-term Value Management Relationships with the global suppliers. To define and initiate complexity reduction initiatives and standardisation programmes through involvement of all regions. The sourcing relationship with suppliers is undertaken by the Sourcing Manager.To manage the risk to Agrega through robust category strategies and sourcing management and by ensuring adherence to corporate compliance, platforms and policy.

Relationship

To work closely with Global Head of Category Management and Operations Managers to ensure the collation of category requirements including spend, demand, supplier performance and service requirements in a logical format from the business units/end markets.To drive business relationshi ps with the other team members.Assist the Supplier Custodian and Contract Owner in the resolution of escalated supplier issues and ensure appropriate supplier management and performance metrics have been agreed.

Innovation

Determine the scope, scale and impact of any new products or services required. Assess the supply market for these requirements and reflect this in the category strategy and targets. Ensure any supplier or supply market innovations that are relevant to the business are communicated and reflected through changed business requirements.To undertake a complete review of the category strategies and sourcing plans on a periodic basis to ensure that it continues to meet the current and future needs of the business.

Experience & Knowledge

Detailed knowledge of the specific category (ies) they are responsible for based on 4 to 5 years experience, including market place, key drivers and levers, supply base and balance of power.Thorough kn owledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and competitor activity and trends.Detailed understanding of financial evaluation and interpretation of suppliers records and their key cost and business drivers.Full understanding of the category cost drivers and of the factors needed to ensure a robust outcome for Agrega (including specification and testing requirements).Professional knowledge of procurement principles and approach including category and sourcing management.Experience in managing complex, high risk projects and programmes to improve performance and deliver service.Sound knowledge of corporate regulations and legislation to ensure the creation of effective and binding group contracts.Experience of managing a category at an above market / geographic level for a period of 2 years minimum.Understands the dynamics of managing a category at a global level.

Qualifications & Training
