My client, a leading UK consultancy, is currently recruiting for a Head of Operations with a strong background in Compliance, to join them during a highly exciting time for the business. Working from their modern and established Leeds office, you will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, be responsible for numerous Team Managers and champion the work of the Operations Centre and to drive its productivity, efficiency and performance to ensure the ongoing growth and success of the business.

Your key accountabilities will include to lead, mot ivate, develop, inspire and enable the staff of the Operations Centre to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity. You will ensure that all necessary systems, processes and structures required are in place and are regularly monitored, reviewed and developed to meet the changing needs of the business. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth handover of all new projects from Sales to the Operations Centre and that excellent customer relationships are developed and maintained throughout the project life cycle. Furthermore, you will take overall responsibility for the management of the facilities, security and health and safety of the Leeds office.

Applicants should hold the Financial Planning Certificate FPC3 or equivalent and Prince 2 or equivalent project management qualifications are desirable.

Strong interpersonal, influencing and client relationship management skills are required to work successfully with clients and staff in sometimes challenging ci rcumstances and to gain support and co-operation at all levels. Additionally, you will possess strong communication and strong organisational and time management skills. You will be able to produce and deliver clear and accurate management information, reports and presentations.Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and increase productivity/quality.

Previous experience and understanding of working in a technical financial services target driven environment is important, as is several years demonstrable experience of managing and resourcing major projects in a financial services environment.
