My client, a global leader in their industry, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Finance Director to be Head of Financial Controlling for the organisation.The position is based in South Wales and has an excellent salary of 70,000 - 80,000 per annum.

The Finance Director will manage and coordinate all controlling activities for the Companys UK operations.The job holder will work in close cooperation with the management team in the UK and ensure a close integration of the finance activities within the UK operation with the overall finance activities of the global business.

Responsible for an effective business controlling:

Provide financial statement for UK operation (P&L, BS and CFs) and monthly reporting

Ensure efficient monthly closings in coordination with the groups UK finance team

Drive and update the quarterly forecasts (EAs)

Drive and support the annual operating plan and budgeting process.

Contribute to Risk & Opportunities discussions, the Enterprise Risk Management tool and follow-up on action plans.

Contribute to the set-up and evaluation of business plans and models.Support the set-up of controlling processes for new product and solution/service offering.

Pro-actively ensure compliance to internal processes and procedures

Responsible for an effective bid controlling (directly or through delegation):

Lead financial part of bid proposal preparations

Prepare and participate in relevant quality gates

Manage cost calculations, target costings, margins and cash flows. Support in defining pricing strategy.

Drive risk and opportunities analysis

Support the commercial part of the proposal

Support the contract negotiations with customers, partners and subcontractors

Responsible for an effective project controlling:

Pro-actively follow and challenge project revenues, cost and cash-flows. Monitor and support project reviews and the Estimate at Completion process.

Work-out and update budget and forecast figures of the project and comment in the monthly reporting

Review and analysis variance between budget, forecasts and actual (P&L and BS items).

Challenge the project teams to ensure a successful project execution
