Sales Manager MICE Agents
Description
You will perform the role of Sales Manager within the Agency MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Events) sector and ensure that specific MICE volume sales targets are met for all Hotels in the Apex group in both London and Scotland. You will be responsible for; managing MICE Agency channel providers in the UK, managing Preferred Agent Partnerships to increase Apex market share in local markets, managing commission promotions to ensure market share targets are met and managing Account Portfolios to achieve set monthly targets. You will also undertake sales research and sales activity including telesales, site/hotel show rounds, presentations, entertaining and attending relevant trade shows.
It is estimated that 70 of time will be travelling in the UK, so the role is ideally based from home and the candidate will require their own car. The ideal location is around Midlands/Birmingham area to support access to the location of the majority of conference agents.
Skills
Essential to the role is previous experience in the achievement of sales targets, along with strong presentation skills and Inter personal skills. Ideally you will have previous Hotel MICE related Sales or Account Management experience as well as knowledge of Sales Account Management and lead systems (e.g. Opera, Delphi, Sales Force).
Hours
Full time, 5 days from 7, Monday to Friday, some weekend work.
