As one of the largest and most successful further education colleges in Europe, our Client provides education and training to a wide range of learners and clients across the City of Manchester and beyond.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Technologies Developer to join the MOL Programme Development Team.

Based within MOL, this role is essential in promoting and supporting the use of learning technologies throughout its portfolio, providing comprehensive pedagogical training and development programmes designed to enhance learning, teaching and assessment. Using appropriate learning technologies, you will be creating innovative multimedia learning materials to use in blended and distance learning programmes. You will also work to identify appropriate learning technologies and integrate them into MOL programmes, whilst continually supporting the Colleges IT strategy.

With sound experience gained within a similar role and environment, our ideal candidate will have honed skills in research assessment, evaluation and reporting to measure the effectiveness of learning technologies. We ask that applicants have a strong knowledge of the following technologies: XML and manipulating XML data within flash; using flash for both web based and DVD content; HTML and CSS; video codecs; broadcast settings and standards; Adobe After Effects and After Effects Expressions; SCORM (Sharable Content Objects Reference Module); action script 2.0 and action script 3.0; Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Excellent animation, CAD and illustration skills are essential, as is the ability to project manage well in a busy, sometimes pressurized work environment.
