Health Advisor Roles

Mental Health Advisor

Chartered Psychologists or someone with equivalent (evidenced) experience or registration

Chartered OT

As a Health Advisor working on the Work Programme, you will be required to:

Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments for each client who is assigned to you

Provide onward face to face and telephone appointments

Produce tailored plans for each client which focuses on improving their health and returning to work

Offer advice and education about clients health conditions, where appropriate

Provide guidance about return to work and offer support as required, including in work support where required

Deliver group interventions such as workshops and specific health programmes

Refer clients to appropriate specialist services, agencies and organisations

Health Advisor Role

You will be a Chartered Physiotherapist, Chartered Psychologist (or with relevant/equivalent experience or registration) or OT (Specialising in MH).

Occupational Health

Condition Management

Pain Management

Mental Health (for MH role, this is essential)

Experience of using evidence based interventions such as CBT, Brief Solution Focused Therapy or Motivational Interviewing (for MH positions, this is essential) also desirable but training will be given.

Nb. Please also note that Physical Health roles will involve delivery of weekly classes, such as Pilates, Relaxation, Circuit Training or Walking Groups, therefore experience of this or formal qualification in Pilates for example also desirable but full training will be given)

Please note: for the Health Advisor role we will consider new Graduates in OT/Physio who demonstrate appropriate understanding and awareness of Welfare to Work and Bio-psychosocial Assessment/Intervention.
