Since 2009 we have had a real focus on ensuring that improvements were made and embedded across our everyday practice. At the end of 2011 these improvements were recognised and endorsed by Ofsted.
It's an incredibly positive way to begin 2012 but it's not the end. We've made huge strides but still have much to do to achieve all of our goals. That just means we're more committed than ever to continual improvement. It also means that we listen to our people and value their input. So, as we continue to build on this significant step forward in transforming our service, you could have a big part to play.
Offering all the professional challenges and support you need, and would expect from a County spanning east London through to the east coast, you'll see that we're just as serious about your development as we are about our own.
We are currently keen to recruit to our Children with Disabilities team in Clacton.
Clacton is a fantastic location, it is well know for its idyllic seaside villages with great travel links. It is situated at the eastern end of the A133, accessed via a largely improved road from the A120 junction at Hare Green, four miles east of Colchester. Nearby to the north-east is the neighbouring resort of Frinton-on-Sea.
In essence, your role in the future will be less about long hours and more about being a model professional. We're investing in a major transformation as we aim to become the home of high quality social care.
To play a key part in transforming the lives of children and families, you'll need a DIPSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent. This will be backed up by post-qualification experience as a children's social worker. Open to change and ready to innovate, you will be keen to join an environment where you can stretch yourself professionally, make an impact individually and deliver positive outcomes collaboratively.
