Working with the student on a one to one basis, Tutors and students develop and implement strategies and solutions to enable the student to maximise their academic success. For example, support with time management, organisation and planning for assignments.
Tutors must have a degree, teaching certificate such as PGCE and significant experience of working with adults within an academic/support environment. An understanding of how Dyslexia affects learning is essential. A knowledge of Assistive Technology is preferable, however, we offer regular training opportunities for you to improve your skills in this area.
The hours associated with this role depend on the needs of the individual students and the number of students that the Tutor supports, but is often a flexible role with hours that vary from week to week.
Successful applicants will be invited to a face to face interview with our Student Services Manager, Lisa Price on either 14th June or 19th June 2012.
