A Global blue chip organisation, is now seeking to appoint an experienced Assistant Category Product Manager (Product Marketing / Buying) to work within their established UK Merchandising division.Supporting a number of high profile businesses worldwide, they are recognised for having an unrivalled product base and achieving excellence in providing compelling product assortment and maximising profitable sales opportunities.

As an Assistant Category Product Manager you will be accountable for

Provide operational support for all merchandising activities within the region for a designated product range with a categoryEffectively take products to market via a variety of touch points including catalogue, online website, direct mail, seasonal promotions, in store, telesales and national sales teams.Assist with the organization of the range selection, pricing and promotion for all relevant product assortments in all Major & SMB publications and on the WebSupport the category manager to achieve all media build deadline across all relevant touch pointsSupport the periodic production and review of trading results of the designated categories providing insights on key performance indicators and proceeding actionsProvide enduring product marketing campaigns and activities to effectively promote all designated product rangesProvide periodic insights into sub-category performance and assist the category manager with the preparation of quarterly presentations to the M&M Management teamProvide efficient and effective advertorial input to the multi touch point media build processAssist with the completion of regular competitor analysis and reviews to provide insight for product promotions and pricing strategy development

We are looking for a candidate with a product marketing / merchandising / buying background.Your category will cover a large portfolio of FACILITIES MANAGEMENT PRODUCTS, including cleaning, catering, janitorial etc.

It is expected that successful candidates will have the following:

Working in Product Marketing and Vendor Management environmentYou are likely to be currently working as a marketing executive, category assistant and junior buyer level.Marketing or related degree preferred. You will be working within a large company, preferably from a retail or catalogue background.Commercially astute, possessing strong product marketing capabilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Organised and proactive planningStrong attention to detail and effective execution.Results orientated.Strong management skills.
