Finance Associate

THE TEAM:
The Finance Group consists of 9 partners, 20 fee-earners and 3 trainess across 4 European offices supported by a dedicated PSL and provides the firm's expertise in relation to banking and other public and private debt-related finance work. The team acts for banks, other financial institutions and major corporations, whether as borrowers or finance providers.
The Finance Group's work focuses on the Real Estate, Retail and Leisure, Private Equity, Media and Technology sectors and involves general corporate lending and borrowing, (acting for banks, financial institutions and corporates) and structured finance all conducted in an international dimension.
Since the establishment of the Group in 2000 we have been focusing on developing long term growth. This has steadily resulted in our appointment to an increasing number of bank panels, and also several landmark deals acting for major corporations. Going forward the Group will continue developing these relationships with banks and other financial instiitutions to provide them with the full range of the Finance Group's skills and services.
THE ROLE:
We currently have a vacancy for a junior finance associate with good training to join our growing team, based in our London office. Ideal candidates will have high quality generalist finance experience gained within a large firm environment and/or worked in a highly regarded or ranked finance practice.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideal candidates will have at least 1-3 years' post-qualification relevant banking/finance experience gained form a highly ranked practice or team. Excellent academic record with a minimum of a 2.1 gained at degree level.
- Excellent people skills and a good, clear communication style. Effective team-player - able to work effectively in an established, close-knit team.
- Desire to be proactively involved in business development and marketing. Ability to handle client contact from the outset.
