At Imperial Tobacco we rely on analysis to help shape the decisions we make.The Strategic Foresight team in Group Marketing is at the forefront of this analysis and we are currently recruiting an Intelligence Analyst to help deliver these insights.

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join the team of 3 working within a fast paced environment.This is a stretching, challenging and rewarding role, which touches all parts of our business and so the right person with the right attitude is critical.Day to day duties include:

Daily updates on key industry developments by monitoring press, broadcast and online mediaWeekly in depth analysis of key topics and issues identifiedRegular and Ad-hoc reporting through publications aimed at internal audiences on high profile issuesIdentifing key correlations and developments within the industry or which will impact on the industryDeveloping and maintaining the intelligence section of our online intranet platformBuilding relationships and working closely with our internal communication teams across the globeMaintain and develop our Intelligence Database

What we are looking for:

A degree (or equivalent) preferably in social sciences or communication and/or analytical experience within in a corporate environment, or an agency, in a similar roleProven ability to quickly understand and identify intelligence and insights from raw information and use initiative to investigate furtherAbility to communicate across different culturesExcellent copywriting skills and ability to compile written reportsAbility to work to strict deadlines and to work under pressureExcellent IT skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Internet search experienceExcellent presentation skillsA working knowledge of web-design and visual presentation skills (including html and internet publishing) would also be preferableKnowledge of another language would be useful (preferably French, German or Spanish)
